Ayurvedische Chai cookies

Chai tea doesn’t belong only in the cup!

For about 36 peaces:

  • 4 bags chai tea
  • 200g vegetable margarine
  • 50 g raw cane sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 300 g spelled flour
  • 100 g of sugar for rolling

Ground the contents of teabags in a mortar. Stir margarine with sugar until its a foamy mass, add salt and tea powder and mix it. After that add the flour. Mix all to a smooth dough and refrigerate for one hour.

Thereafter form cherry-sized rolls, press them slightly flat and place them with some distance on a baking plate with baking paper. Bake 20 minutes at 150 °C. Roll the finished cookies in sugar.
